Experienced Red Roan Quarter Horse.

This is Rojo! We started this horse as a two year old and he has been the go to trail horse for a close friend of ours for the last three years! The only reason that this horse is available at all is because at 15.2 he is just too tall for their family. His demeanor and manners are impeccable and he has been hauled and rode consistently since he was two years old. Rojo has been exposed to cattle and has attended a few sortings and has started tracking cattle in the round pen and out of the box! When in the round pen with cattle he has learned to read them very well and has shown lots of rate out of the box because of this! He has flat, smooth lead departures and is a pleasure to lope around inside the arena or outside in the pasture! We have also recently started using him in our colt starting program as a pony horse and his quiet confidence has helped a few tough young horses find a more gentle reaction to pressure! Although we have not turned many steers on the head side, through ponying some rambunctious colts we have found that Rojo will pull from the horn and takes the pressure well and with ease! Previously to Rojo we have owned two of his full brothers that have made exceptional head horses and We expect that this great gelding will be nothing less than a stellar rope horse in the very near future! This cool red roan is cute and personable, gets along great in a stall or in the pasture! He is not spooky or cold backed and has never offered to buck. He is sound and sane and will make a great addition to anyone’s string, whether it be a using horse, trail horse, or rope horse!
