If you’re looking for a family horse, suitable for any level rider, Buckwheat is your guy! This colorful gelding has all the patience in the world, and the perfect trail horse. Buckwheat will ride front, middle or the back of the pack. He does not care where he is in the line, as he does whatever you ask of him. He has been ridden all over the country Trail Ride. He stands like a gentleman on a picket line, and is very easy going, even in large crowds. Buckwheat will ride along with a dog clipped to his side. He would excel as a field trail horse, or just a Sunday ride and a horse to use Saturday night racoon hunting! Buckwheat is not shy of guns, and will hardly flinch when one is let off. He is gentle enough for the young ones to ride, or big enough to carry anyone, standing at 15’1. He will stand to be mounted (with or without mounting block), for the farrier, and to be tacked. Buckwheat is all around a great horse that is going to make someone the perfect partner.
