Tall dark & handsome 9yo Quarter Horse gelding

Roy is a tall dark & handsome 9yo Quarter Horse gelding standing a sturdy 16 hands who has been a vital part of our family for the past 5 years. One word describes this fella, and that’s PLEASANT! No matter what task you pull him out of the pasture for, you can be sure he’s going to do it with a willing attitude and make for an enjoyable ride! He’s created quite the colorful resume over the past several years including but not limited to: parades, weekend camping trips, ponying racehorses at the track, helping start colts, turning back at a cutting facility, riding on the beach, dressage schooling shows, local ranch shows, 4H play days, driving and gathering cattle across the Bear Paw Mountains , brandings, elk hunts, and has been used for tons of beginner/intermediate riding lessons! Roy adores children and is youth suitable under supervision. He crosses trail obstacles, is traffic safe, and has seen unlimited venues! We’re not joking when we say this guy has seen and done it all!!! Has a soft, gentle jog and a floating canter under English or western tack and guides around beautifully with a true one-hand neck rein as desired. Feel free to clamber up on him in the field with a halter and cruise him around bareback! Side passes effortlessly to make opening and closing gates a breeze! Takes both leads and has a phenomenal halt. Roy is even voice command trained from his years of service as a humble lesson horse. WHEW! Talk about ALL the fancy buttons! Easy to catch, shoe, bathe, clip, load, haul, turnout, stall, tie, cross tie, and whatever else you can think of! Absolutely zero funny business, cinch up and ride off.
